Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with gastrointestinal cancer entities under palliative or adjuvant chemotherapy 2) Clinical indication for a CT scan 3) CT scan in the spectral-CT

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Presence of other independent risk factors for sarcopenia (e.g. neuromuscular diseases, severe dysphagia, malabsorption due to extensive previous abdominal operations, known food intolerances). 2) Surgery with immobilization during the study period 3) MRI contraindications (e.g. foreign materials (pacemaker, staple sutures), claustrophobia) 4) Spondylodesis material at the level of the 3rd lumbar vertebra

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary Endpoint: - Agreement and variance between spectral-CT and MRI liver and muscle fat values

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoints: - Relationship of spectral CT liver and muscle fat values ??to single energy CT values - Relationship of spectral CT liver and muscle fat values ??to clinical sarcopenia parameters - Predictive value of spectral CT liver and muscle fat values ??for the clinical outcome
