Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: elective Caesarean section at term, no PROM, not in labor, no antibiotics for three months, no smoking, no diabetes, singleton pregnancy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: preterm birth, labor, PROM, smoking, diabetes

microbiome signature of infants in the first days of life as determined by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and analysis of antibiotic resistance genes

MeasureTime frame
microbiome composition at one month and one year of life and maternal risk for surgical site infections
