Measure	Time frame
The primary aim of this observational study is to evaluate the preferences of cardiac surgery patients depending on age and gender on the basis of preoperative parameters including inquiries about the patient's wishes (postoperative quality of life versus life extension). Central goal: Does the patient's desire for a longer life span or better quality of life change with age.	—
