Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: At least one parent showing a mental illness according to ICD-10 (F1 - F6). The mental disorder of the parent is defined by a psychiatric treatment context (outpatient, inpatient or partial inpatient) within the last 6 months, in the context of which a mental disorder has been diagnosed. The parent with the mental illness has to be insured by one of the following health insurance companies: DAK, KKH, BKK Mobil Oil, IKK Classic, AOK Baden-Württemberg or AOK Hessen. Internet access, Sufficiently proficient in German, informed consent or for participants below the age of 16 years informed consent of the legal guardians, successful completion of baseline assessment (T0). No participation in any of the other sub studies of the CHIMPS-NET Consortium.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Acute suicidal tendencies, acute substance use (F1X.2 except F17.2) or acute psychotic symptoms of the participating adolescent as assessed by clinical professionals at the participating clinics.

| Effectiveness of the intervention: As measured by the between groups effect of the Youth Self Report score (YSR 11-18R; Döpfner et al., 2014) at T3 (6-months post-randomization). The YSR scale measures self-reported mental health. Measurement time points: baseline measurement T0 (beginning of the study), T1 (1-month post-randomization), T2 (2-months post-randomization) and T3 (6-months post-randomization), an online assessment via the assessment platform LimeSurvey as well as at T0, T2 and T3 clinical Interviews will take place with all participating Family members (adolescents and parents should take part in the assessment). | — |
