Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and/or anxiety disorder (MINI criteria) • Gender: male, female • Minimum Age: 18 Years • Maximum Age: 75 Years • Consent to participate in a single VR-session and the diagnostic interviews • Ability to give consent • Sufficient understanding of the German language
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Psychotic symptoms (current or lifetime) • Mania • Severe neuropsychological disease • Current substance dependence • Physical illnesses that are a contraindication to exposures (e.g. heart disease)

| ERP Feedback Form: Self-report questionnaire to assess willingness to engage in disorder-specific in vivo exposures and to experience unpleasant feelings during these exposures, based on Reid et al. (2017). Patients report their willingness one day before (t1) and one day after (t2) the VR session. Patients' willingness is assessed on a scale ranging from 0 to 100. | Sudden Units of Distress (SUD): Self-reported assessment of distress (before, during and after the session). Global Assessment of Functioning (GAF): The GAF is a self-report questionnaire to measure the global functioning of patients (t0, t3, t4). Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ): The AAQ is a self-report questionnaire to assess experiential avoidance (t0, t3, t4). Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7): The GAD-7 is a self-report questionnaire to assess the symptom severity of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (t0, t3, t4). Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS): The Y-BOCS is regarded as gold-standard for the assessment of OCD symptoms and symptom severity during the last week (t0, t3, t4). Obsessive Compulsive Inventory- Revised (OCI-R): The OCI-R is a self-report questionnaire measuring the severity of OCD symptoms (t0 and t3). Obsessive-Beliefs-Questionnaire (OBQ-44): The OBQ is a self-report questionnaire to assess OCD relevant dysfunctional beliefs (t0 and t3). Beck Depression Inventar-II (BDI-II): The BDI is a self-report questionnaire to assess depressive symptoms over the past two weeks (t0, t3, t4). Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES): The RSES is a self-report questionnaire to measure self-esteem at t0 and t3. In addition, the version of Kernis (2005) is used at t1 and t2 to capture short-term changes (e.g., patients are asked to give their response based on their emotional state "at that moment" and to rate their response on a scale from 1 (completely disagree) to 10 (completely agree)).
