Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who undergo elective surgery and who gave consent that a tissue sample from resected material may be used for Research purposes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: overt coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, advanced renal failure (stage 3, GFR 30-59 ml/min/1,73m2), chronic inflammatory disease

MeasureTime frame
The aim of the study is to identify differential contributions of signaling mechanisms to vasoconstriction and vasodilation in human resistance arteries. Another aim is to identify age-dependent alterations in vascular tone regulation.
