Group 1: The participants get access to the COPD online self-management program and then participate in the usual classroom training.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of COPD; sufficient knowledge of German language to fill in questionnaires; oral and written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Insufficient knowledge of German language, patients unable to give consent

| As primary endpoint it will be investigated by the Bristol COPD Knowledge Questionnaire (BCKQ, White et al., 2006) whether the online self-management program leads to a knowledge gain in COPD patients regarding their disease. Moreover, it will be investigated whether the knowledge on COPD increases even more after having additionally attended the classroom training. | — |
