Interventions

Group 1: Intervention group patients can book their appointment on the hospital's own online portal. Group 2: The control group (2nd arm) makes an appointment on site or by phone during opening hours.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All insured persons are included. (all insurances) All patients of the participating university outpatient departments of the maximum care provider are included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 = No interest 2 = Concerns about data protection 3 = Language problem/insufficient knowledge of German

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The study design is a control group design. The primary objective of the study is to investigate whether online scheduling of consultation hours can lead to an improvement in patient satisfaction. An increase of at least 1% is expected. Study participants are the patients of the respective outpatient departments of the clinics for ENT, surgery, orthopedics and trauma surgery as well as urology. The study will take place at two locations. The control group is in Kiel and the intervention group in Lübeck.

MeasureTime frame
A change in process and waiting times and time spent by patients is determined based on the event logs from the IT system. Instrument: Life Satisfaction, Experience and competence with digital media
