Group 1: Patients with residual dentition and implantological therapy requirements. Patients receive preoperative magnetic resonance imaging for planning the implant position.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Eligible for patient education - residual teeth in the jaw in need of an implant, sufficient for fixation of a tooth-supported surgical guide - Patients with planned dental implant placement - Signed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Contraindications for an MRI examination (e.g., implants that are not classified as MR-compatible or MR-safe, metal parts in a dangerous location (eye), claustrophobia, etc.). - Pregnancy and lactation

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of the spatial accuracy of magnetic resoncane imaging based planning based on comparison of virtual implant position and post-interventional implant position.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Correct predictability of qualitative implant planning parameters (e.g. implant type and need for bone augmentation).
