Inclusion criteria: Suspected diagnosis on the basis of clinical appearance, blood values and/or image morphology

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Minority - Lack of capacity to consent - Active hepatitis C and HIV

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary endpoint is to determine the expression levels of alpha- and beta-defensins in appendicitis acuta. The determination was performed by means of quantitative real time PCR from the postoperatively obtained appendix vermiformis resectate.
