Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: previously untreated colon cancer or renal cell cancer with indication for hemicolectomy or nephrectomy, respectively; size of the tumor to be resected = 2 cm; ability to understand the protocol and give informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: medical or psychological impairments or legal restrictions resulting in reduced capability to give informed consent; lack of any of the listed inclusion criteria; if histopathological workup after the library perfusion will unexpectedly yield a diagnosis other than the expected colon or renal cell cancer, respectively, the patient will be excluded from the trial
