Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of binge-eating disorder or binge-eating disorder of low frequency and/or limited duration according to DSM-5 Informed consent Availability of a smartphone (Android) and Internet access Sufficient German language skills
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Severe mental disorder Severe physical disease Previous or planned surgical obesity therapy Medication that impacts weight or eating behavior Current psychotherapy Current participation in structured weight loss treatment Pregnancy or breastfeeding

| Eating disorder and general psychopathology (Eating Disorder Examination-Questionnaire, Patient Health Questionnaire), self-efficacy (Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale), self-regulation regulation (e.g., Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale), quality of life (Impact of Weight on Quality of Life-Lite), eating disorder-related impairment (Clinical Impairment Assessment), physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire), and body mass index (kg/m2) will be assessed at all time points. Feasibility and acceptance of the smartphone app, therapy expectations, and motivation, and skills use will be measured at most time points. Eating behavior and the therapist-patient relationship will be assessed during treatment. | — |
