Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the non-hearing-impaired participants are: (1) no diagnosis of hearing impairments, (2) acceptable score for the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB), (3) living independently in the community, (4) age range between 50 and 70 years. Inclusion criteria for the hearing-impaired participants are: (1) diagnosis of moderate hearing impairments, (2) acceptable score for the SPPB, (3) living independently in the community, (4) age range between 50 and 70 years. Severity of hearing impairment will be based on the pure tone audiometry results (evaluated by qualified audiologists during the pre screening session on day 1). Inclusion criteria for participants with prosthesis: (1) leg prosthesis for lower limb including knee joint (2) acceptable score for the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB = 9) when using a prosthesis, (3) living independently in the community, (4) age range between 20 and 50 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are (1) any acute or chronic disease, (2) recurrent falls, (3) impaired vision that is not corrected with glasses, (4) low Short Physical Performance Battery score, (5) indication for impaired cognition (Montreal Cognitive Assessment), (6) risk of falls (QuickScreen Clinical Falls Assessment Tool).
