Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of any age with ulna impaction syndrome with localized ulnocarpal pain and positive ulna stress test

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with diffus wrist pain Patients with additional pathologies at the hand previous fractures or operations to the wrist intra-operative central or peripheral TFCC lesion intra-operative relevant additional lesions like SL-tear or osteoarthritis

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
After 3 months, patients with TFCC resection have significantly better results (at least 1 VAS point, 10%) of their pain on excertion than patients with TFCC debridement

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Ulnocarpal wrist pain on excertion improves significantly and by at least 2 VAS points after 3 months in both groups 2. Krimmer wrist score improves significantly and by more than 10 points after 3 months in both groups 3. DASH-Score improves significantly and by more than 10 points after 3 months in both groups 4. Within 2 years from arthroscopy, patients with TFCC resection need significantly less reoperations (Repeat arthroscopy or ulna shortening) than patients with TFCC debridement
