Conditions

Healthy subjects without prior known illnesses of the respiratory or cardiovascular system will be recruited. No health condition or problem will be studied, the physiological effect of breathing with protection mask will be investigated.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age = 6 years, < 65 years, informed consent to study participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: known previous illnesses of the cardiovascular or respiratory system, pregnancy, lack of consent, obesity (BMI > 30), active medical implants (cardiac pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), defibrillator)

Time series of thoracic regional electrical impedance, etCO2, blood pressure, ECG, non-invasive transcutaneous measured pO2, pCO2 will be measured. Subjective breathing discomfort (visual analogue scale) .
