Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The patient enrollment rate and process is compatible with and scalable to enrollment for the main study: Acceptance Criterion: enrollment of 59 patients within 2 months. The study processes (exchange of data and linking of information exchange within the E.D.) is compatible with and scalable to enrollment for the main study: Acceptance Criterion: 85% of patients who complete an Ada assessment have the assessment read and considered and assessed (via questionnaire) by the examining ED clinician. This will be assessed only after study completion (59 complete patient anamnesis handover datasets). The safety profile of Ada digital anamnesis is acceptable for carrying out the main study: Acceptance Criterion: The rate of SADEs is less than 1 out of 59 patients. AND The rate of ADEs and DDs is less than 2 out of 59 patients. Note: The study patient number of 59 is the number of patients who will complete all study steps and study data collection. Patients who have completed the Ada digital anamnesis report, but whose report is not viewed, used and validated by the examining ED physician do not count towards this number. These patients are none-the-less considered in Primary Endpoint 1. Enrollment will continue until there are 59 patients with completed anamnesis handover and assessment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The efficacy (performance) of digital anamnesis (subjectively assessed through physician and nurse questionnaires) is sufficient to justify carrying out the main study: Acceptance Criterion: At least 30% of completed physician questionnaires (completed per patient) have a rating of the utility of the anamnesis report of 4 or above on the Likert scale4 for the either of the following questionnaire questions: Question 1: The Ada digital anamnesis report, once integrated fully into the clinical workflow, would have reduced the time taken for medical history taking (information gathering) for this patient, OR, Question 2: The Ada digital anamnesis report, once integrated fully into the clinical workflow, would have assisted in obtaining a medical history for this patient.
