Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Primary endpoint: 1) to summarize the characteristics and status of health care for patients with established atherosclerosis in Bavaria who are registered in the health insurance dataset in this region (including frequency of clinic visits, compliance with prescribed therapies, etc.); 2) to investigate the longitudinal effectiveness of preventive and therapeutic interventions (with a particular focus on cardiovascular events) in a cohort of patients with atherosclerosis drawn from a real-world setting, thus going well beyond the strict inclusion and exclusion criteria of randomized trials, including those with "all-comers" designs; 3) to create prognostic models that inform treating physicians on how to assign atherosclerotic or CHD patients to tailored prevention or treatment strategies, and in turn provide power calculations for potential future randomized trials. | — |
