Group 1: Patients suffering from first time, acute lateral ankle sprain

Age

18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Acute, severe lateral ankle sprain (hematoma, swelling, pain under load)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Fractures, any type of injury requiring surgery, contraindications to MRI acquisition
