Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Transfusion of packed red blood cells as part of intensive medical care. Retrospective data analysis from the past 16 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No transfusion of packed red blood cells during intensive medical care.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
As a primary endpoint, the relationship between storage time and pH, potassium as well as lactate levels of the packed red will evaluated by means of blood gas analysis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Is there a noticeable effect on pH, potassium and lactate in the patients blood gas analysis shortly after transfusion?
