Interventions

Group 1: Patients with COPD and/or non-CF bronchiectasis and detected airway colonization by P. aeruginosa: observation of disease course over a period of 1 year (registration of clinical parameters)
collection of biomaterial (sputum, nasopharyngeal and rectal swabs) for microbiological characterization of colonizing pseudomonas isolates and characterization of the airway and gut microbiome.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of COPD and/or non-CF bronchiectasis with exacerbation; Detection of airway colonization by P. aeruginosa

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy/breast feeding; diagnosis of cystic fibrosis (CF); inherited or acquired immune deficiency
