Mobility impairment and muscle strength in ICU patients

Interventions

Group 1: ICU patients without neurological symptoms or injury to a muscle group to be tested Group 2: ICU patients with neurological symptoms that still allow the MRC-SS to be performed. Group 3: ICU

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Awake, responsive patients in the intensive care units at UMG

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A medical condition that does not allow or enable the tests to be performed: - Deep sedation, coma, - joint stiffness and injuries to the bilateral muscle groups to be measured.

Correlation of the MRC-SS with the individual stages of the IMS by means of exact representation of the regression.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
Secondary objective criteria are to present the interrater reliability of the MRC-SS at UMG in clinical practice. In addition, confounding and influencing variables of other variables, such as grip strength, age, previous disease and gender will be presented.	—
