Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Geplant 600 participants, but as the reason of time challenge we made a stratified random sampling (two Groups- ICU Admission, n=104 vs. non-ICU admission, n=201) In this study, a total of 305 patients aged >18 years who showed a physical status of ASA II–III and underwent elective and non-elective surgery during January to December 2019 in our clinic (Klinik für Anästhesie und Operative Intensivmedizin-medius KLINIK NÜRTINGEN), were selected. ASA IV was excluded because the sample patients did not belong to the two study groups.
