Conditions

Analysis of puncture depth and anatomical dimensions for intraossary puncture at 4 different localizations

Interventions

Group 1: Retrospective analysis of MRI or CT scans of children up to 14 years of age in which at least one of the body regions proximal tibia, distal tibia, distal femur, proximal humerus was studied.

Eligibility

Sex/Gender
All
Age
No minimum to 14 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elective and emergency MRI and CT examinations in which at least one of the puncture sites is shown: proximal tibia, distal tibia, distaler femur, proximal humerus.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Pathologies at the respective measuring point (proximal tibia, distal tibia, distal femur, proximal humerus) which would be a contraindication for an intraosseous puncture at this puncture site 2) Too low resolution quality of imaging to evaluate all main parameters of soft tissue thickness, bone thickness and bone marrow diameter

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Soft tissue thickness [mm], bone thickness [mm], bone marrow diameter [mm] at the puncture sites proximal tibia, distal tibia, distaler femur, proximal humerus.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Height, body weight, sex, circumference of extremities at the puncture site

Countries

Austria, Germany
