Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Symptomatic hip: - Symptoms over the greater trochanter, pain on pressure over the greater trochanter, painful abduction test and / or internal rotation test lasting at least 3 months - No previous operations. 2. Hip asymptomatic: - No complaints - No pressure pain over the greater trochanter - physiological abduction test and / or internal rotation test 3. Symptomatic shoulder: - Complaints about in the sulcus intertubercularis lasting at least 3 months - Local pressure pain in the intertubercular sulcus - Positive palm-up test and / or speed’s test 4. Shoulder asymptomatic: - No complaints in the sulcus intertubercularis - Lack of tenderness in the intertubercular sulcus - Negative palm-up test and speed’s test

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients under 18 years of age - Previous operations on the hip joint - Previous operations on the shoulder joint involving the long biceps tendon or the sub-scapularis tendon - Known rheumatic diseases - Infiltrations within the last 3 months (shoulder and hip)

To gain a sophisticated understanding of the inflammatory response via analysis of various sample materials. Serology: - Detection of inflammation parameters (CRP, leukocytes) - Detection of previously unknown inflammatory markers and subsequent determination including quantity

Histology: - Determination and analysis of cells and cytokines involved in the inflammatory response Micro-RNA: - Analysis of genes involved in the inflammatory process
