Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - signed declaration of consent - male/female >18 years - appropriate communication skills of patients - Diagnosis of polyneuropathy or herpes zoster infection/postherpetic neuralgia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - previous abuse of alcohol, drugs or medicines - known other diseases associated with a change in sensory perception or immunological processes - known immunodeficiency - Pregnancy - Simultaneous participation in drug studies

The aim of the study is to identify neuroimmunological biomarkers that might have an impact on pain (-chronization).
