Interventions

Group 1: EMAPREPARE I: Patients treated as emergency department outpatients who do not have a regular primary care provider are surveyed with a questionnaire. They receive written educational material

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Treatment in an EMANet emergency department during the study period, outpatient care received in the emergency department, triage categories 3, 4 or 5 (Manchester Triage System), no attachment to a primary care provider (self-reported, EMAPREPARE I), arrival at the emergency department by emergency medical services (EMAPREPARE II).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Limited or absent ability to give informed consent, proficieny in the German language inadequate for survey participation.
