Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pre- and post-session questionnaire: Before and after each session of the MCT-OCD, patients receive a pre- and post-session questionnaire (revised version used by Miegel et al. (2020)) which captures cognitive biases that correspond to the content of the MCT-OCD modules (4 items on the cognitive bias that is addressed in the corresponding module).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS): gold standard for the assessment of patients’ OC symptom severity during the previous week (t0 and t1). Obsessive Compulsive Inventory- Revised (OCI-R): The OCI-R is a self-rating questionnaire that assesses OCD symptom severity during the last month (t0 and t1) Obsessive-Beliefs-Questionnaire (OBQ-44): The OBQ is a self-rating questionnaire that assesses OCD relevant dysfunctional beliefs (t0 and t1). Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II): The BDI is a self-rating questionnaire to measure depressive symptoms over the past two weeks (t0 and t1). Meta-cognitions Questionnaire (MCQ): The MCQ is a self-report questionnaire assessing dysfunctional metacognitive beliefs (t0 and t1). Expert rating pre- and post-session questionnaire: After each session at the MCT-OCD the therapists assess the change in the cognitive bias corresponding to the related module in an external rating (1 item).
