Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study participants must meet the following inclusion criteria: - Age: = 18 years - Mother tongue: German. The following inclusion criteria also apply to the study patients: - hearing thresholds right, left: = 80 dB HL on average over the frequencies 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz and 4 kHz - unilateral or bilateral CI fitting - implants of the (better) CI: CI24M, CI24R, CI24RE, CI500 Series, CI600 Series - processor of the (better) CI: CP810, CP910, CP920, Kanso (CP950), CP1000 - hearing experience with (both) CI: = 6 months - speech intelligibility with (better) CI: SVS with OLSA for S0N0 = 5 dB SNR. The normal-hearing study probands must have hearing thresholds of = 20 dB HL on both ears at all frequencies up to 8 kHz.

Exclusion criteria: All study participants: - cognitive impairment
