Interventions

Group 1: After the diagnosis of a periprosthetic infection according to EBJIS criteria, the knee joint is changed bilaterally with subsequent stiffening. Accompanying systemic antibiotic therapy.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Indication for knee joint arthrodesis due to a periprosthetic joint infection treated with a cementless titanium rod arthrodesis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Indication for knee joint arthrodesis not caused by a periprosthetic infection

Infection-free survival after eradication of periprosthetic infection. Clinical and laboratory chemical (CRP, leukocytes) testing in routine follow-up examinations at the Polyclinic.	—
