Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Amblyopia: best-corrected visual acuity in amblyopic eye <0,8 in single optotypes with Amblyopia ex Anopsia with or without Astigmatism/(Micro-)Strabism

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No patients with other ophthalmological pre-existing diseases and no patients with deprivation amblyopia (weak vision of organic cause) can be included in the study. Patients with proven learning disabilities must also be excluded. Patients with known epilepsy must also be excluded from the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Best-corrected visual acuity in near vision for the purpose of taking into account the separation difficulties in amblyopia, with Landoldt rings according to the Haase C test which are side by side as series optotypes (2.6 ').

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Best corrected visual acuity in distance vision. The examination of the distance vision was also carried out with Landold rings, which, however, were presented as individual optotypes. Their presentation took place partly in an automated process on the PC, partly with the chart projector, whereby the measured values obtained with the PC and the chart projector are to be regarded as equivalent.
