Group 1: Intervention group: casemanagement-based counseling in a period of up to 12 month (additional 6 month of follow-up care)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Occupation at commencement of counselling - Psychological distress and workplace issues

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Application for a disability pension or exclusive focus on disability pension - No positive prognosis for return to work/ stay at work within 12 months (timeframe of counselling) - Inability to engage in counseling (e.g. due to untreated severe mental illness such as an acute schizophrenic episode, severe addiction disorder etc.) - Participation in a retraining program that exceeds the project's designated 12-month timeframe of counselling - Individuals with exclusively somatic illnesses
