Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study arm 1-4: The child - uses German as first language - shows an IQ in a developmental diagnostic =85 - has a peripheral normakusis bds. - A moderate to severe speech language development disorder Study arm 5: The child - uses German or another first language - has a peripheral normakusis bds. - has just started a logopedic treatment due to speech development problems (max. since 3 months, max. 10 sessions received) or a prescription for such a treatment is available and the start of treatment is still to come

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Study arm 1-4: - motor, cognitive, anatomical or sensory disorders that may be associated with language deficits - Fluency disorders - profound developmental disorder (e.g. autism or mental disorder) - received speech therapy in the last 3 months - childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) Study arm 5: - motor, cognitive, anatomical or sensory disorders, which may be associated with language deficits - Fluency disorders - profound developmental disorder (e.g. autism or mental disorder) - childhood apraxia of speech (CAS)

Study arm 1-4: Speech language development status at time point T2 (12 months after therapy start) Study arm 5: retrospectively extrapolated speech development status at the time of the speech language diagnosis that led to the therapy indication

Study arm 1-4: Scores of the "Intelligibilty in Context Scale" and one questionnaire each on health-related quality of life for children (Giessen Complaint Form for Children and Adolescents GBB-KJ) and their parents (Giessen Complaint Form GBB-24) at time T2 Study arm 5: average test scores of German and non-German language tests for the individual linguistic levels semantics/lexicon and syntax/morphology and phonology and for the phonological working memory
