Inclusion criteria: • Liver transplantation at the center of transplantation in Heidelberg • Written and signed informed consent • Age > 18 years

MeasureTime frame
Usability of a 29mRNA neuronal network for the prediction of an infection in patients following liver transplantation will be determined. Therefore, routinely collected microbiological findings will be supplemented by pathogen identification toward Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS-) methods. Afterwards, the usability of the neuronal network will be determined.

MeasureTime frame
- Patient’s stool sample will be examined for changes within the microbiome to estimate prognostic factor for the prediction of an infection or a rejection. - The values of the clotting factor XIII will be examined in relation to the appearence of unwished events like bleedings, thrombosis and the need of revision surgery
