Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patient data from the clinic for general, visceral and vascular surgery at the Städtisches Klinikum Görlitz gGmbH is analyzed with the diagnosis of pilonidal sinus, who underwent surgical therapy. The inclusion period is 01/01/2014 to 12/31/2019. Inclusion criteria are that the patients are older than 18 years, have no mental retardation or somatic handicap, undergo follow-up care through presentations in the surgical specialist outpatient clinic or our outpatient proctological consultation and surgical care in domo.

Secondary endpoints are the postoperative pain conditions, impaired quality of life, recurrence-free time, wound healing time and the patient's perceived tolerability of the therapy.
