Interventions

Group 1: Cross-sectional study with separate testing of all electrode contacts of a device implanted for deep brain stimulation.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Male and female patients with parkinson's disease who met indication for the implantation of a DBS system at elast three months prior to study inclusion in the STN • Patients from = 40 to = 75 years • Patients whose native language is German • Patients with imaging data necessary for analysis (preoperative MRI with T1-, T2 and DTI-sequences) • Patients need to be able to consent to study participation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Preexisting neurological conditions influencing speech (except for Parkinson's disease). • Patients with dementia (< 19 Punkten in MMST). • Patients who did not receive all necessary imaging as part of their clinical care.
