Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age = 18 years 2. major abdominal surgery for gastrointestinal malignancies defined as: 3. Minimally-invasive or open surgery 4. Written informed consent 5. Ability and willingness to respond to questionnaires

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA > 4 2. Impaired mental state or language problems
