Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Head and neck tumor surgery: surgery duration of > 3 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Suspicion of severe dementia (Schulmann's pathological watch test) or a score below 10 in the minimal test

MeasureTime frame
Inclusion of 60 patients with head and neck tumors (surgery time > 3 h) In addition to the classic anamnesis and diagnostic findings, the following test procedures are used: Preoperative: GDS (Geriatric Depression Scale), Barthel Index and ISAR Screening (Identification of Seniors At Risk) Postoperative: Nu-DESC (Nursing Delirium Screening Scale), CAM (Confusion Assessment Method) or CAM-ICU (for use in intensive care units)

MeasureTime frame
Determination of the prevalence of delirium as a result of tumor surgery and predictive value of the preoperatively applied screening methods. Secondary target parameters are soft data such as BMI, age, previous diseases.
