Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: participants from the previous cross-over study with confirmed primary or secondary osteoarthritis of the knee (Kellgren & Lawrence 1-4), competency to give consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: unable to walk, lack of compliance, cancellation if withdrawal of consent

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in biomechanics (space-time parameters, kinematics, kinetics) assessed by 3D instrumented gait analysis without and, if necessary, with the use of orthopedic aids in comparison to the pre-study.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in osteoarthritis symptoms (American Knee Society Score, Oxford 12 Knee Score and FFbH-OA: functional questionnaire of Hannover for OA) and health-related quality of life (EQ-5D) after 1-2 years.
