30 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participation is voluntary and participants have full legal capacity and understand the nature, scope, importance and consequences of the investigation; diagnosed knee osteoarthritis stages (radiography), clinically screened and confirmed beforehand

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. medication modifying pain perception and proprioception in the last 48 hour 2. Serious diseases that affect participants quality of life (psychological, neurological, cardiopulmonary, endocrine or metabolic) 3. Pregnancy or breastfeeding 4. acute inflammation of the knee joint 5. knee injuries or surgery in the last 12 months (<12 months) or incompletely healed injuries or operations 6. Muscle soreness / severe pain / instability / muscular fatigue of the lower extremities (diseases other than knee osteoarthritis that may affect the walking ability/standing stability, walking ability only with walking aid) 7. Knee fracture, osteochondrosis dissecans, non-operated meniscus tear (measured leg)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
knee joint sounds are measured before and after both interventions using vibroarthrography (acoustic sensors, amplitude in dB and frequency in Hz), sensors are placed at the medial tibial plateau and the patella

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
acute knee pain (before measurement, during pre-measurement, during intervention, during post-measurement and after measurement) using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) (score of 10 cm)
