Age

18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients who could receive both: a laryngeal mask or an endotracheal intubation - Age: 18 - 80 years - ASA I - III - elective surgery with a duration of at least 30 minutes - General anesthesia and inpatient stay

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - operations on the head or neck - predictably difficult intubation - pre-existing damage to the vocal cords
