Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: OCD-patients: patients with an F42-diagnosis who are fluent in German language and able to give consent. Control subjects: no known psychological or organic illnesses, especially no strong limitations in vision or hearing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded if they have a strongly limited ability to see or hear. Control subjects will be excluded if they suffer from an acute psychological or neurological illness, a lifetime-diagnosis of an obsessive-compulsive or related disorder or in case of a positive family history of OCD.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Aim of the study is to examine how (if and under which conditions) OCD patients show alterations in SoA and how this is connected to specific clinical variables, e.g. higher sense of responsibility.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
A secondary aim of the study is to validate in how far the VR environment can be used for exposure and response prevention therapy.
