Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients: open angle glaucoma; Controls: normal visual acuity

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: other eye diseases except of beginning cataract, ocular trauma, eye surgery (except cataract and glaucoma surgery), neurological and/or orthopedic diseases, e.g. advanced arthrosis, implants of lower extremities, visual acuity < 0.8 for controls

Comparison of the effect of uni- and multimodal movement-related intervention (60 min, 2/week, for 12 weeks), comparing pre- (within max. 4 weeks prior to intervention start) and postinterventional data (within max. 3 weeks post intervention end): (a) fMRI-based functional connectivity: Functional connectivity, quantified as seed-to-voxel and ROI-to-ROI correlations of BOLD time-series will be computed between relevant cortical regions as identified in Demirakca et al. (2016) including premotor, primary senso-motor, visual, auditory, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, frontal eye-fields and midcingulate gyrus. (b) Gait control: gait velocity, gait variability (step lenght, MTC).

Comparison within and across participant groups (controls vs glaucoma) and/or intervention groups (uni- and multimodal intervention) with respect to: (a) fMRI results for functional connectivity, cortical visual field maps, task related responses. (b) Results of eye-movements, cognitive, motor- and visual function, dual-task costs.
