Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Histological confirmed thyroid cancer with focus on anaplastic thyroid cancer and poorly differentiated cancer but also other thyroid cancer entities. The patients must have at least one tumor leasion that can be seen and measured in radiological assessment. They must be over 18 years old and competent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: <18 years old. Pregnancy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Circulating tumor DNA can be detected in blood plasma of patients with thyroid cancer.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
2. Detection of somatic mutations in blood plasma of patients with thyroid cancer via next generation sequencing is possible and reliable. 3. ctDNA-levels correlate with tumor burden. 4. Measurement of ctDNA-levels in the course of the disease correlates with radiological and clinical tumor response 5. An increase in ctDNA levels or reocurrence of ctDNA levels can predict tumor progress.
