Distress of patients with advanced cancer

Interventions

Group 1: A focus group interview with 7 health care professionals and individual cognitive interviews with 10 patients are planned for linguistic and content-related review of the ACPDS questionnaire.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: older than/or 18 years old diagnosis of advanced cancer with palliative care capacity for informed consent comprehension of German language

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: clinical estimation of being in too vulnerable health condition or too distressed to take part in any study cognitive or communicationl deficits estimated life span less one week (dying phase)

MeasureTime frame
As a result, a shortened version of the ACPDS, which is improved in terms of content and language, is expected. Patients and health care professionals are interviewed about the ACPDS (Fischbeck et al., 2013).
