Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient related: Age = 18 years, = 12 natural teeth/dental enossal implants, participation in SPT, oral and written consent, presence of at least 1 gingival recession = 2 mm depth, no periodontal surgical measures to cover recession in the past.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: no written and oral consent, younger than 18 years, pregnancy, = 12 natural teeth, other diseases affecting the oral mucosa (lichen ruber with manifestation in the area under investigation, malignant changes), insufficient compliance (< 1 SPT session/year)

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of the examination should be the determination of the progression of recession depth and width of the attached gingiva in mm in the area to be examined as a function of time under SPT, adherence to individual SPT intervals, systemic factors, oral hygiene aids, and the individual risk of periodontitis (Lang and Tonetti 2003).

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome parameters are esthetics (smile esthetic index, SEI, (Rotundo et al. 2015), hypersensitivity, carious and non-carious cervical lesions (NCCLs), and gingival volume change in mm3.
