Group 1: n principle, patient samples with the symptom of aortic dilatation / aneurysm or rupture are included. Tissue samples from healthy aortas are used as controls, e.g. in the case of Ventricular

tissue is obtained from the 1) CardioVascular Biobank (CVBB) and from the 2) Archive of the Institute of Clinical Pathology (IKP). We will perform immunohistological double staining of tissue sections

Inclusion criteria: Patient samples with the symptom of aortic dilatation / aneurysm or rupture included.
