Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Alpha diversity as a parameter for bacterial diversity in the fecal microbiota, analyzed at the time of initiation of chemotherapy treatment in newly diagnosed, locally advanced or metastatic PDAC, and the association with survival (follow-up up to max. 36 months). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| - To study the composition and beta diversity of oral and fecal microbiota at the time of PDAC diagnosis, and and changes therein during and following palliative chemotherapy. - Investigation of the bacterial metagenome in oral and fecal microbiota samples to determine microbial metabolic pathways at the time of PDAC diagnosis and during palliative chemotherapy. - Collection of clinical data on the efficacy of chemotherapy (response, relapse), toxicity of chemotherapy (e.g. mucositis, diarrhoea, polyneuropathy, bone marrow toxicity), occurrence of infections (e.g. sepsis, cholangitis), death. | — |
