Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Pregnant first-time mothers in the last trimester of pregnancy who plan to have a vaginal birth - Sufficient German language skills to participate in the survey - Written consent to participate in the study - Age >= 18 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Pregnant women who will give birth for medical or personal reasons via a planned caesarean section - Women with multiple pregnancies - Severe comorbidities of the mother (according to the assessment of the investigator) - Known serious illnesses of the child which make it necessary to transfer the child to the paediatric ward - Diagnosed generalized anxiety disorder or other serious mental alteration of the woman - Lack of mental, physical or linguistic capacity of the woman to participate in the questionnaire survey

| Evaluation of the relationship between prepartum birth expectancy and postpartum birth experience (under control of maternal and labor information) - Evaluation of the birth experience with standardized, multidimensional questionnaires immediately after birth and the change in memory measured 6 weeks and 6 months later - Comparison of the assessment of the birth experience between the woman (over time) and the obstetric staff The study comprises 4 measuring time points: Recruitment and baseline survey in the last trimester, approx. 24h, 6 weeks and 6 months postpartum. The following questionnaires are used: WDEQ, Birth Satisfaction CEQ, STAI Trait & State, Depression Scale EPDS, IES, Pregnancy-related Anxiety PRAQ-R2, BFI-10, Visual analoge scales In addition, the midwife and the physician are interviewed immediately after the birth with a short questionnaire. | — |
