Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Female sex, age = 18 years, hysterectomy method: LAVH, benign gynaecological condition as indication for LAVH (including uterine myoma, other benign neoplasia of the female genital organs, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, menopausal symptoms, uterine or cervical dysplasia, pelvic organ prolapse), primary surgery at University Clinic for Gynaecology Pius-Hospital Oldenburg. between 01/01/2010 and 31/12/2019

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age < 18 years, suspected or confirmed cancer diagnosis, acute preoperative infection of the pelvic organs, postoperative complications as primary indication for LAVH, post-partum complications including haemorrhage as indication for LAVH, application of a hysterectomy method other than LAVH, anticoagulation therapy during the last six months prior to surgery, coagulation disorder.

Complication/adverse event: intra-/postoperative hemorrhage (pre- minus postoperative haemoglobin value), pelvic infection/abscess, sepsis (infection parametres such as leukozytes and CRP), ileus, damage to neighbouring organs (bladder, ureter, colon, rectum, blood vessels, nerves), wound healing disorder
