Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Informed consent as documented by signature - Normal appearing cochlea in preoperative imaging - Indication for cochlear implantation is given after the standardized assessment of the CI center at the University Hospital of Zurich - Cochlear implant user implanted at the CI center at the University Hospital of Zurich

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Inability to follow the procedures of the study (e.g. due to language problems, psychological disorders, dementia)
